Super Saturday Plus National Dragster Challenge

   With Super Saturday rained out last weekend and moved to this week it made the National Dragster Challenge race more interesting. Not only a chance to win the Wally but with bigger pay out from Super Saturday. With a lot of sun and low 80’s there was some hot racing.

 

   In Super Pro it was seven rounds of racing to win the money and the Wally. In the quarter finals it was Christina Parriman of Dayton, Oh. in her 68 Camaro with the better light and a one over 6.911 on a 6.90 dial in at 98.71 taking out Dave Cox in his 77 Monza from Washington c h, Oh. Next up Vernon Angles of Hillsboro, Oh. in his 62 Biscayn with the better light and the win over Jason Neargardner of Dayton, Oh. in his 79 Camaro. Next up Brent Angles of Hillsboro, Oh. in his Beretta with a 5.09 light and the win over Matt Barrett of Beavercreek, Oh. in his 92 Daytona. In the last pair Andy mcconnaughey of Springfield, Oh. in his 79 Malibu red lighting to Jack Duty Jr of Vandalia, Oh. in his Racecraft Dragster. In the Semi Finals it was a battle of Father and Son as Brent and Vernon Angles paired up and Dad Vernon red lighted giving Son Brent the win. In the other race Christina Parriman had the better light with a 5.05 but lost a double breakout race to Jack Duty Jr. In the final for the Wally and the cash Jack had a 5.02 light and ran one over 4.894 at 141.18 on a 4.88 dial in for the win.

 

   In Pro Bike quarter finals Gary Fredrick of Springfield, Oh. on his 75 Kawaski got the bye run. Then Homeboy Homer England of West Chester, Oh. on his Suzuki got the better light and the win over Burt Exman of Englewood, Oh. on his 82 Suzuki. Next up Glen Lakins of Trenton, oh. had a 5.07 light and lost a double breakout to Russell Stewart of North Hampton, Oh. In the Semi Finals Russell Stewart got the bye run. Next up Homeboy Homer had a 4.98 red light giving the win to Gary Fredrick. In the Final Gary got the better light and the win over Russell Stewart and the Wally.

 

   In the Pro Class it was a seven round race to win the Wally. In the Quarter Finals Nick Davis of Moraine, Oh. in his 80 Malibu red lighted giving the win to Roy E Hess of Xenia, Oh. in his 66 GTO. In the next pair Mick Pence of Bainbridge, Oh. in his Mustang got the better light on the win light over Bryan Fox of Springfield, Oh. in his Dragster. Next it was Mike Gill of Washington CH, Oh in his 79 Camaro got the better light and the win over Randy smith of Washington CH, Oh. in his 73 Ventura. In the Semi Finals Mick got the bye run. Roy had a 5.14 light and the win over Mike. In the Final for the Wally and the cash it was Roy going red and giving the win to Mick. 

 

   In Sportsman it was seven round also to win it all. In the Quarter Finals Howard Ledford of Kettering, Oh. in his Mustang getting the bye run. Next up Ryan Jenks of Jamestown, Oh. in his 99 Monte Carlo taking the win with the better over Carl Thomas of Kettering, Oh. in his 65 Mustang. Next up Ron Evans of Xenia, Oh. in his 70 Maverick with the win over Mike Mcgriff of Oregonia, Oh. in his 91 Mustang. In the Semi Finals Evans got the bye run to the Final. Ryan won the double breakout race over Howard. In the Final Ryan Jenks took the win and the Wally over Ron Evans.

  The High School winner was Dylan Bair of Urbana, Oh. in his Pontiac.

 

   Jr Dragster 13-18 bracket Quarter Finals Billy Sellman of Hillsboro, Oh. red lighted giving the win to Ben Browder of Fairborn, Oh. Next Megan Hughes of Jamestown, Oh. got the win over Tyler Collins of Lebanon, Oh. Next it was Tyler Vance of New Carlisle, Oh. red lighting to Julie Duty of Vandalia, Oh. Next Emily Kathe of Xenia, Oh. and Mike Morris of Dayton, Oh. both with 5.33 lights but Emily taking the win. In the Semi Finals Emily got the better light and the win over Julie. Ben got the win over Megan. In the Final Ben red lighted giving the win to Emily.

 

   In the 10-12 class Quarter Finals Aubrey Cox of Tipp City, Oh. red lighted to James Smith of Beavercreek, Oh. Next up Michelle Morris of Dayton, Oh. red lighted to Shawn Allex of Xenia, Oh. Kay Crum of Jamestown, Oh. got the bye run. Semi Finals James got the bye run. Shawn got the better light and the win over Kay. In the Final it was Smith getting the win over Allex.

 

   In the 8-9 class Quarter Finals Mikah Miller of Xenia, Oh. got the bye run. Hunter Hughes of Jamestown, Oh. ran a 13.479 on a 13.47 dial in for the win over Marissa Babb of Xenia, Oh. Next up Michael Roberts Jr of Huber Heights, Oh. got the win over Samuel Allex of Xenia, Oh. Next up Kyle Beavers of Urbana, Oh. got the win over Cheyenne Masters of Urbana, Oh. In the Semi Finals Kyle got the win over Hunter and Michael got the win over Mikah. In the Final Kyle got the better light and the win over Michael.
